Jesus teaching about life in his kingdom invites us into a topsy turvy world. His vision for life and it is meant to be lived is breathtaking and beguiling. It seems so 'right' - and yet it is so far beyond our grasp.  And yet running through his words there is a message of grace and hope for the greatest and the least.  

At our next Gathering on 13th May we are going to get real and discuss a dirty little secret.

You know we live in a culture that is saturated with sexual imagery. In fact the porn industry in the UK is worth over £1bn p.a. according to the Adult Industry Trade Association. It even has its own trade show which attracts more visitors than the Ideal Home Exhibition. Moreover a recent survey claimed that pornography accounted for 30% of all internet traffic and drives the cutting edge of innovation on the web. According to a report on the ExtremeTech website the biggest porn site on the web receives 4.4billion page views with 350 million unique visits per month. And that’s just one site. The pornography industry has larger revenues than Microsoft, Google, Amazon, eBay, Yahoo, Apple and Netflix combined. (Just read that last sentence again.) So there is no denying that the porn business is BIG business - even if the porn business exaggerates the size of everything!

So how should we live? At our May Gathering we plan to return to Jesus’ Manifesto for his kingdom and examine how his radical teaching impacts our lives in this area – and find out how God’s grace can wipe the slate clean - and keep it that way.

So whatever your circumstances - single, married, single again, with or without children, straight or gay & no matter what you've been through Jesus manifesto says:

Grace is available!

You matter to God.

And to us.
